Basic lecture course
"Electro-acoustic music: a history, aesthetics, means"
History, elements of musical acoustics, overview of sound synthesis technics, sound processing, MIDI, elements of sound production, weekly listening of the recordings from studio library. The purpose of a course - to give general representation about a history and modern practice of use of technology in music for professionals and music amateurs.

Each Wednesday, 6pm
Electro-Acoustic Wednesdays
Lectures of the visitors, listening of music, analysis of means and concepts, discussion. Conducted by Andrei Smirnov and Julia Dmitrukova. Additional lectures and meetings with the guests,
listening and analysis of music from studio library, review and analysis of repertoire of electro-acoustic and computer music inaccessible earlier for listening owing to complete absence of the given areas in musical culture of the former USSR.
